There's also the rib and brews fest in lowell in the fall.
I need to get off my duff and build a competition smoker and start kicking some tail at these things.
With that said, I think that the smoker is going hot this weekend, gotta hankering for some damn fine ribs, and the only way i'm gonna get 'em is to smoke 'em myself.

Hmm.. live near Memphis (BBQ HQ of the south) you get tired of BBQ. For the real falvor, must get dry smoked ribs. Do a search for Corky's BBQ in memphis and oder some of their rib seasoning, it is out of this world.
There are two BBQ rib places here that are OUTSTANDING!!! I eat at both all the time.

Jim - Just let me know when you get a craving and I will go to one of the many BBQ places down here - eat a whole bunch and let you know how good it was!!
But seriously, I can't imagine life with out BBQ. I couldn't live in an area with such restrictions as you have.

That is just plain mean. I did find a place down the street that has good stuff but no booze. Good enough for me... for now.
