Here is a very simple recipe for a very tasty cake...

5 eggs
5 oz. sugar
5 oz. flour
1 can evaporated milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 cup half and half

1. Whisk the eggs and sugar over a double boiler (dont know if this part is really important) until the temp is 100*F.

2. Once at temp, mix with a hand mixer until there is a "5 second track" meaning if you drag an spatula across the batter, it will take 5 seconds for the line to disappear.

3. Next, slowly sift in 5 oz. of flour while folding the flour into the batter.
Pour into a cake pan and bake for 25 min at 350*F

4. Remove from pan and cool on a rack. Once cooled to room temp, return to the cake pan and poke it many times with a skewer.

5. Pour the Tres Leches mixture onto the cake and let it soak into the cake over night.

6. Top with any kind of frosting or whipped cream and enjoy.

While the cake is baking, mix the sweetened milk, evaporated milk and the half and half together. done.

My dumbass couldnt read my own recipe last night when trying to make this, I accidentally added 5 CUPS of flour instead of ounces. nearly broke my arm mixing it before I realized what I did wrong. Razz
