Dam hot here (Iraq), but I'll be going on R&R at the end of August. I'll be meeting the "Irish Princes" for ten days. Any really good cigar shops I must vist?

Dublin has a few good cigar shops. Three of them within 100 yards of each other on the same street. I have a few previous posts on these forums about them. All of the following are on Grafton Street, a popular shopping street in the city centre, you'll have no problem finding it. Decent Cigar. Peterson's. JJ Foxes. All have a decent selection of Cubans and some non-cubans. If you're an Ashton fan, Peterson's has quite a few VSGs in different sizes with some age on them, they won't have a problem with you buying a whole box, they don't sell well here. Decent cigar has Opus X and Padron. You will pay for cigars here. Prices typically for Cubans each (in US dollars): Churchills $30.00-$35.00 Pyramids $25-$30 Robustos $20.00 Coronas about $18.00 Minutos $13.00
Add 50% to the above prices for Cohibas.
There are some deals to be had. Decent Cigar currently has Partagas 898 Varnished with some age on them for about $19.00 each or a box deal for about $400.00. I had one last night and they are fantastic. If you are looking for torpedos/pyramides, Diplomaticos No 2 (about $22.00 each) are generally about 20% cheaper than Monte 2 or PSP2. Decent cigar has the most knowledgeable staff of the three, with Peterson's second. Foxes is also worth a visit though, nice shop. I have never experienced or even heard of a legitimacy issue with any of these shops (at least since I got to know cuban cigars). Worth a mention is the new Casa Del Habano here. It's in the Floridita restaurant. http://www.floridita.co.uk/dublin/cigars.php It's on the other side of the river from Grafton Street, about 500 yards from Peterson's, so all 4 shops are within walking distance of each other. The best prices you'll find will be duty free at the airport on the way out, if you're comfortable doing that. Decent selection. No smoking indoors here anywhere but the weather in August will still be good, must pubs and some restaurants have a heated outside area. Hope this helps. Take care of yourself out there.
