Myself and Smoking Gun (mainly from the Cigar Trading forum) are spending the weekend in Chicago at the end of November for the Bears-Eagles football game. Just wondering if there were any suggestions for cigar bars or if any BOTL would want to meet up?

im about 2.5hrs south on I57 in Champaign, IL...but for shops and bars hit up Iwan Reiss, Up Down, and then there is burning leaf in Joliet I think...lots of shops so you shouldnt have a problem there. Wish I could make it up there to hang with you guys

I'm in the Chicago burbs. If you're spending the weekend in Chicago, your best bet is Up Down Cigar. While there is no lounge, there are stools at the counter. Plus, they're open until 11pm. It's in a great neighborhood called Old Town. Plenty of nice restaurants nearby. My recommendation would be to have some ribs at Twin Anchors. It's within walking distance of Up Down.
Iwan Ries is a nice place in the Loop. Because it's in the business district, it closes at 5:30 on Friday, 5:00 on Saturday, and is closed on Sunday.
Jack Schwartz is a few blocks west of Iwan Ries, also in the Loop, in the CBOT buidling. It closes at 5'ish on Fridays, and is closed on Sat/Sun.
The closest Burning Leaf for you will be the one in Bucktown. The selection is just ok, and not much of a lounge besides one sofa. But the neighborhood is cool and trendy, with nice restaurants all around.

I'm about 25 mins outside of Chicago. Most of your bigger lounges are outside of Chicago. There is the Humidor in Downers Grove on Ogden Ave. Then there is a really nice lounge in Orland Park callled Belicoso on 94th ave. Belicoso has a huge Humidor with tons of harder to find sticks and a lot of room to sit and smoke. There is burning leaf in Plainfield and Joliet but those are a bit far too. Let me know if you guys are hitting the bars. I'll try and join you guys. Dinner beers smokes. Whatever.

Quarter - Here is the deal! I am gonna talk to Smoking Gun and see what our schedule is. However it would be the night of Saturday, November 21st when we would be open for the night of smoking.
