I like to think that the original Chris's on Broad Street was/is better than the rest of the chain even the other locations in New Orleans. As far as Del Frisco's originating in Dallas you may be correct, all I know is that they had a steakhouse on Canal Street in the 70s-80s, then closed that location when they went corporate, no longer in New Orleans. There are so many good places to get a steak in New Orleans (Delmonico, Mosca, Charlie's, Besh's) but when I don't mind driving a while (live in Baton Rouge now), nothing beats Broad Street Chris's.

I usually go with the NY Strip medium rare w/extra butter. As far as sides go we usually get the creamed spinach, steak fries and onion rings.

Another solid steakhouse I enjoy is Dylan Prime in tribeca.

Whoa are you my twin? We have a Ruth's Chris in my building...I get the same thing when I go.

For lunch their black and blue salad is excellent. I get some razzing when I am out with the boys and order a salad, but then they see it comes with a sliced 8 oz strip steak down the side of the plate.

If you are ever in St. Louis, check out Tony's downtown. Italian place, but the beef is the best in the city. Prime strip sicilian style is the best.

Had an amazing meal at The Capital Grille (Newbury Street in Boston) the other night. Kona rubbed sirloin with shallot butter on the side. Easily one of the best steaks I have ever had.
