It is a bit early but I am excited. You are probably wondering why I put this in the Food, Drink, and Travel section right? There will be food and drink included with the ticket purchase, and some of you may have to travel! Plus you will receive at least 25 cigars. I bought my ticket today and I am wondering if any of you are going to be there. I live about 15 minutes away so it works out great for me. If all goes good, I am hoping that whoever shows up, we can all meet, have a drink, and chat for a little bit. It's three months away I know, but make sure to post up if you are going. I can't wait!

So I stroll up to Pete Johnson and ask if he can take a picture with me and I soon realize that my wife took the memory card out of my camera! Thankfully he took one with his iphone and sent it to me. Me and Pete I am very sorry that I messed up on this one but this picture absolutely made my night. He does admit that he is a La Riqueza whore, and there will be around 1300 boxes of Halloween series this year. One thing I did get was Litto Gomez, Sam Leccia, Rocky Patel, the CAO guy, Don Pepin, Pete Johnson, and Alec Bradley to sign my CA magazine. It was a great event but I don't think I will attend next year if they have one; I was a little let down with most of the brands handing out their lower end sticks, ie. padron(2000 natural), fuente(double chateau), Oliva (O Series). I hope that you will enjoy the one picture that I got.

Nice pic Alan, and good score with the autographs. I got a chance to meet Pete last year at an event in Chicago. My wife and I chatted with him for a while. Wish I had remembered to take a photo, or ask for an autograph. Would have been nice to have the box of Regios I purchased personally autographed.

Certainly, it was a great night. That being said, the highlights of this big smoke were definately not the cigars. The women were hot, the stars were out, and the atmosphere was excellent for such a grand event. But honestly, the cigars they gave out were bottom of the barrel. If you had paid the money in order to recoup through cigars, you were sadly dissapointed. I run a small cigar store in groton, and I later learned through a customer monday that the real cigars were handed out at a CRA VIP party. The rest of us were given basic cigars from each vendor, which for tatuaje cabiguan and pepin still means great cigars. CAO gave out mx2's and potomacs, tat gave out havanas and guapos, and xikar gave out the great new fuego defiance. Ashton came through with a san cristobal, and Rocky Patel donated a RP premium to my bag. All in all, a great event capped off by a great dinner at David Burke Prime steakhouse, but worth the ticket price...?
