It tastes like sweettarts and 7up. I used to work at 3 in the morning and didn't enjoy coffee. I would drink Red Bull. Get's the heart racing. Too much of it can cause problems. As well as people who drink it with liquor. A depressant with a stimulant...do the math. I've done the math and still will have a jagerbomb or two. Will I ever learn???

I wonder how long it will take the Federal Government to discover it and try to regulate or ban it.

I LOVE Red Bull. From what I know, Costco has the best prices for 24 or $30. If you like Red Bull, then mix it with some Cognac. Henassey is a good choice. Cheap and flavorful. It makes a great drink. As to the flavor, I think it taste like apple cider with tangerine juice, and a slight hint of cherry.

Very true about mixing a depressant with a stimulant, but as my last post showed, I still haven't learned my lesson as well Big Grin

On a side note, I once bought 10 Red Bull. I was working on a paper that I thought I was literally going to be up all night for. Well, without thinking, I just kept drinking the Red Bull. Once I was done with one, I would just go right back to the fridge, grab another, and head back to the paper. I did this until I went to the fridge and grabbed another Red Bull and suddenly realized that I only had 2 left. I stopped drinking the Red Bull and finished my paper. Funny thing is I finished the paper earlier than I thought and decided to try to get a little bit of sleep in. I was able to fall asleep just fine. However, I woke up and had a hell of a stomach ache. Frown

Sounds like the one and only time I took No-Doze when I stayed up to write a term paper. I don't remember what subject it was or how the paper looked, but just that one time was enough for me. That's what kept me away from stimulants and why I didn't try Red Bull sooner. I was surprised that I actually felt better after drinking it than after drinking coffee, besides feeling more wide awake.

Last I looked though, Eddie, Cognac was anything but cheap!

How do you mix Jager bombs, is it the regular, 4cl Jager + red bull to fill the glass, or do you add anything else?

I cant imagine of mixing cognac with anything, it is just like making WhiskyCola from cardhu, you just spoil the good stuff.

"O God of Earth and Altar,
Bow down and hear our cry,
Our earthly rulers falter,
Our people drift and die,
The walls of gold entomb us,
The swords of scorn divide,
Take not thy thunder from us,
But take away our pride."
(G. K. Chesterton; English Hymnal)

You're right Saul, but I meant that Hennessy is the cheaper of most of the cognacs I've seen, and one of the best for the price. Obviously it's not one to go out and purchase once a week (and probably shouldn't be drunk that fast too Wink), but an every once in a while type drink. The Hennessy V.S. can be had for just $20. And on a side note, I like to call the Hennessy and Red Bull drink a Rednessy Roll Eyes Big Grin

Just picked one up on the way to work from the dentist -- first time I've gotten so much of a rush that I have to keep backspacing to correct letters that got pressed by accident. Smile I've actually gotten used to the taste, but wouldn't want more than the small can.

Algernon, does drinking vomit wake you up? Confused

Certainly does. Perhaps I should have put this in the Pet Peeves thread instead. If you want a wake up try a double espresso with four sugars.

The marketing may be differnt in the U.S but here(U.K)it's mainly drank by adolescents and alco-pop devotees.

I don't know the target market but the stuff works for me! I like your term "alco-pop" -- my wife (45) and our neighbors (late 30's) drink it but the ones I've tried taste awful. And I don't really want to drink something that's being marketed to post-teens who aren't adult enough for the taste of beer.
