has anyone been there? im going in 2 days and was wondering what the rules are there for smoking. im young and dont keep up with the news. can i smoke anywhere there? casinos? restaurants, cigar bars?

Tunica has not passed any smoking regs that I am aware of-- least of all in the casinos. There is no statewide ban in Mississippi.

I believe that's an Indian reservation and smoking laws mean squat there. I think it will be different for the casinos on the coast.

So far, no cities with casinos in Mississippi have passed any smoking bans that include the casinos.

With the coast casinos just getting restarted from the hurricanes, I'm sure they will fight any proposed ban with vigor.

I also doubt a ban will be proposed for the state, or any Mississippi casino cities anytime soon.

Mississippi is a great place, Tunica isnt so great. I live on the coast one city over from the casinos, as far as smoking goes we are a pretty friendly place, almost all restraunts have a smoking section and all the bars permit smoking. Hope you enjoy your stay in my great state!
