we like too much our booze, and we'll be dammed if we let some fanatics change it all for us.
they tried dropping the limit from 0.08 to 0.05, and it did not pass.. I'm not sure zero tolerance would ever pass here.. maybe in places like california, but definitely not up here...
damm tree-huggers... they won't rest untill we all stop smoking, drinking, drive hydrogen cars and eat freak'n tofu !!!
I LIKE TO SMOKE I LIKE TO DRINK i LIKE V8's WITH SUPERCHARGERS I WILL MEAT AT LEAST 4 TIMES A WEEK (the rest of the week, I'll settle for poultry, pig and fish)
keep the vegie stuff for the goats and cows.. which BTW, I'll be slaughtering for dinner tonight
I agree with Sal but here in Ca it is getting ridiculaus. I even found that the Californians are ruining it for us in places like Cabo San Lucas Mexico. I had a lady from Ca tell me to put out my cigar in an open air bar. I asked her where she was from and she said Santa Barbara, so I told her she should go back and leave us alone that is why we go there. It is just a matter of time before they ruin it for everybody.

That is what they make Field Sobrierty Tests for, to see if you are impaired.
that's fine... I have no problems with that.. what I would have a problem with, is for the rest of the population... the ones that just want to take a drink and a cigar after work...
The poorer cities need a way to raise revenue for infrastructure projects since State and Federal taxes are barely covering essential services. I support tougher DUI laws but not draconian measures as suggested here. Taxis are a whole lot cheaper.
I think existing limits should be enforced. Too many people get away with drinking too much. Here's a commercial we get to see here to remind us. It's quite graphic.

Even then you may not be safe! I was stationed at Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA from 1998-2000. During that time, there were newspaper articles about people arrested for drunk in public while walking from the bar across the sidewalk to their waiting taxi. Now that's going too far! If you're doing the responsible thing and taking a taxi, and presuming you're not being a nuisance while actually ON the street (but possibly a bit unsteady on your feet, as was the case in the article) what is the reasoning behind fining or arresting a person (I forget the actual outcome)?

So, if say you have a beer with your lunch. Wait an hour and half, go take the car go get groceries, get pulled over, and register a .02 and get arrested? That is just not right

California is the land of the Liberals. Does not sound so liberal to me. Oh wait i got it they are doing it for your own good.
