A 100% smoking ban goes into effect in October so you're in luck, time-wise.
I like to smoke in the Xhibicion bar at Harrah's because it has tons of comfy leather lounge chairs and a tall glass of Glenlivet 12 is only, like, $10.
I've smoked at bars throughout AC, though, most smoking bars also allow cigars. The one at the Showboat is pretty accommodating, as is the nearby House of Blues.
Of course, the weather should be quite nice in two weeks so any of the outdoor seating areas of boardwalk restaurants should be a great place to enjoy a smoke. The Hilton has a nice beach bar across from the hotel. And strolling the boardwalk with a cigar on a breezy late spring day is always a good time.

City council should be strung up by their balls. The casinos already spent a small fortune rearranging the gaming floors to accommodate a partial smoking ban. Now they have to make some other accommodation for smokers. All this while they are losing 30% of their previous year's revenue, in part to casinos that allow smoking just over the PA border.
Hey, works for us -- the more NY/NJ dollars we get, the bigger the tax rebates for us here in PA. Come on over to the Keystone State, friends -- and bring you $$$!

PA legislation will rear its ugly head again sometime this year, probably in the fall. That's the word in Harrisburg, anyway. They're already making a case that, in neighboring states, revenue has begin to creep its way back up as consumers "adjust" to a smoke- and fun-free world.
I'll be in Atlatic City on May 7-9th also and I am VERY disappointed to hear of this now total smoking ban. Well what did I expect really. I should have seen this coming. Hopefully the weather will be nice so I can walk outside on the boardwalk in the evenings and have a cigar.
I'll be in AC the same time May 7 - May 9 for the NJSCPA convention at the Taj Mahal. Wife and kids are coming Friday to play on the boardwalk. Why are you guys going down and where will you be staying?

Now they are trying to ban smoking at the casino's in CT. The Govenor has vowed to veto it because it could drop slot revenues by 30% and we can't afford it.
