Going to be in Hillsborogh, NC dec 6-9 adn want to paly golf cuz the cold is already here and I won't be playing till the spring. Any good courses in the area? dont' mind driving up to an hour from there for a really good course.

You may want to try getting on the Duke-Washington course (that's Duke's university course). I can give you a few other names depending on what you want to spend.

I played a course called Mill Creek over the holiday weekend (it's not in Hillsbourough, but its within a 20 mile radius). Not a bad course, and their winter rate is $29 for eighteen holes with a cart (don't be deceived by the price -- the fairways and greens are in good shape and the layout is challenging). There is another course in the area called The Challenge that is a lot of fun. I think the fees on that one are slightly higher.
