My wife and I went to Sandals St Lucia in March of 1995. It was also called Sandals La Toc. The other one on St Lucia, Sandals Halcyon, had just opened. We went to check out Halcyon one evening for dinner. Our opinion was that La Toc was much nicer overall than Halcyon. I haven't kept up with what is on the island now, but the trip was very enjoyable. Snorkling on the southwest side of the island near Anse Chastenet was great (no need to scuba with the quality of the few snorkle reefs I saw). There were lots of young honeymooners there, but also some older folks like us. We went to a street party (on Friday?) in the northern town of Gros Islet that was okay... just be careful of the few locals who dislike travelers. The trip to St Lucia was definitely worth it, and Sandals is fun and easy to do at least once. Have fun.
