I like it on the rocks. But if no ice is available, like when camping, I'll add a little water. You should drink it as you like it.

I prefer 99% of my drinks on the rocks. 1-2 cubes is plenty for me. I also store most of my spirits in the freezer so at times, no ice at all is necessary.

I have receintly started keeping my single Barrel bourbons in the frig that is in my garage/workshop. This has two advantages, 1. my wife is to lazy to come all the way into the garage to get into my stash and , 2. the bourbon is nice and cold when I deciede to have a drink. I also keep a couple of glasses out there. The Bourbon and the glass start off cold but the glass, the Bourbon and old Tom end up nice and warm after about 30 min. It sure works for me.
