City: Los Angeles

Category: chili cheeseburger

The best: Tommy's
2575 W. Beverly Blvd.
Just west of downtown

I will put up a Tommy's chili cheeseburger against any other chili cheeseburger in the country!

I live in Long Beach, CA

Best place to get all sorts of food is to go on 2nd streen in Long Beach.

I recommend

Open Sesame for the best mediterranean food. Portion is filling and the authentic taste of the food is there too..

La Creperie for crepes. They have dessert crepes and entree crepes. I recommend getting the Chorizo crepes. Theyre good stuff.

Theres a Cigar store on 2nd that I visit frequently. Good selections at affordable prices. The lounge area sits 6 I believe and they also have lockers. Very courteous and knowledgeable workers there.

DO NOT! go to steak-o-rama for steak. I went there and the meat was all dry and seating felt cramped.

DO NOT! go to sushi saurus for sushi. Middle of the line sushi ... eh.. and prices way too high for what you get.

I'm in Seattle, WA So,we have a abundance of great seafood places. but this is my list of places.

Breakfast - 5 Point Cafe near the Space Needle
A true Diner & dive bar, but they serve the best
breakfasts in town. Their huevos rancheros are a
Bar hoppers staple there.

Burgers - Most Seattleites will say Dick's Drive-In. However, I believe that Red Mill
Burgers in Interbay NW of Downtown is the
burger mecca of the city.

Seafood(informal) - IVAR'S!!! It's a institution
here. Great seafood fast!

Seafood(formal) - McCormick & Schmicks Has an upscale resturaunt on Lake Union called Harbourside that serves NW seafood with a great flair.

Steaks - Daniel's Broiler is extremely popular here. Great selection of steaks that melts in your mouth.

Cigars - With the ban here being so draconian. Unless you're willing to walk the streets, there are no places for BOTL to enjoy. However, with tobacconists like Tobacco Patch in Pike Place Market or J.F. Kirsten on Lake Union or near Ballard, we have places to congregate & trade our experiences.

I'll give you guys a heads up on where to go when you're in Las Vegas in case you visit and want to get away from the Strip.

Las Vegas.

Breakfast: The Pancake House. Simply amazing, from the pancakes to the bacon all the way to the milk.

Lunch: Farm Basket. Yes, it's fast food, but it's incredible. You won't be disappointed, it's the best chicken or turkey you will ever have. I have to recommended the chicken fingers.

Dinner: Pasta Pirate. Great Italian and seafood restaurant in downtown.

Pizza: Rocco's NY Pizza.

Dessert: Danielle's Ice Cream parlor.

Cigars: Phil's Cigar Shop. One of the best B&Ms that you will ever find.

I noticed that someone did a San Diego review, but I felt that I needed to add to theirs because there are so many great places.

I live in Las Vegas and go to school in San Diego so I feel like I can do both....

San Diego.

Breakfast: Either the Mission in Mission Beach, or Perry's Cafe/The Breakfast House in Old Town.

Lunch: Urbane Cafe...great sandwiches and soup.

Dinner: Filippi's in Little Italy.

Mexican: Super Bronco in Linda Vista.

Pub Food: Shakespeare's

Pizza: NYPD Pizza

Frozen Yogurt: Rockie's in Linda Vista or Fro-Yo across from USD.

Cigars: Racine & Laramie Tobacconist in Old Town.

Joseph,

I'm a Vegas native as well, and a ton of my friends went to school in SD... let me tell you, the BEST RIBS on earth are at a place down there called Phil's. If you get a chance, don't miss it.

I'm pretty sure I've heard of the place, and let me tell you, I'm always in the mood for some good ribs. I will definitely check it out before I leave for the summer.

Thanks for the tip!

Is Hob Nob Hill still open, up at the top of Balboa Park? They used to have the best, hand-made roast beef (not corned beef) hash on the planet.
