Heading down to the Outer Banks for a week. Does anyone know of any good cigar shop in or around the Nags Head area? I'm taking a number of quality cigars with me (opus x, padron 64, couple ashton vsg's, ect...)but was wondering if I needed to overpack or would be able to buy cigars while i am there. Any input would be appreciated.

There is (was?) a good shop in Waves or Salvo, I forget which, south of Nags Head. It is on the western side of the highway, located by a deli and wine shop. Decent prices from what I remember. I think there is a JRs along the route from Elizabeth City, but before you get on OBX. I've always just overpacked my smokes.

I'd overpack your own if I were you. There is only one shop I know of that I've been in with a decent selection. It's called Island Tobacco and is located at mile post 14 in The Croatan Center. But it seems that this place is mainly a "head shop" who sells cigars rather than a true "cigar shop".

From your shopping list, I think it would be wise to bring your own. I have been to several shops on the Outer Banks in the past few years and I do not remember seeing any of the cigars on your list. If they have them, I don't think you would want to pay the tariff, I didn't anyway.

There's a place like that in Corolla. Also, high prices.
