Hello All, I'm a cigar newbie both here on the site and to cigars in general. A little about myself, i live in Boston and started enjoying cigars a couple of months ago. Since im a newbie, i prefer a mild, but working my way up to medium/full.
The question i have is, i will be cruising to St. Martine in a few weeks. If anyone has been there recently, any good suggestions on where to pick up some good sticks (instead of fakes or ripoffs?)
There are only two places where I can guarantee 100% that you won't be getting fakes, both are La Casa del Habano franchises. Everyplace else, no matter how upscale, you'll be taking your chances.
Zone : Caribbean
Country : St. Marteen
City : Marigot
Address : Port la Royal. Rue de la Liberte 71 stm fwi 9715
Your ship will dock in Phillipsburg........As stated above there is an LCDH store there on Front Street. Make sure you try the Cuban coffee while you are in there. Also, the liqour prices and cigaratte prices are the cheapest of the Caribbean stops...............load up......try Gulmohers, right next door to the McDonalds.........great customer service......

get on the watertaxi and get dropped of downtown; hook a right onto front street. LCDH will be on the left hand side of the street. As everyone has already said, this is the only place to shop. Have a great time!

My wife and I were there last year. Great place. Like Rebeljohn says try the cuban coffee at the LCDH store. The lady who works there is both attractive and helpful.
Have a great time.

There's an excellent Davidoff retailer in Marigot, on the French side a half-hour (-ish) drive from Phillipsburg. It's just a block or so up from the ferry pier, and has a large walk-in humidor with an excellent selection of Cubans, in addition to the Davidoff line.
Sorry I can't remember the name of the street.

Have you been to Mark's Duty Free shop in Philipsburg before they closed down last fall or to Sunrise Gift Shop in Maho? The two people there are Mack and Dominic. Both shops have good selections and claim authentic Cubanos.

This just made my day like you wouldn't believe. Those prices are awesome! My ex-sister in law just moved down there. She's going to pick the stogies up and send them over here to Iraq via DHL. This just might be my best tour yet...
