I'm going to be in Madrid this Sunday. I'll only be there for a night because I have to be in Valencia on Monday. I'm spending the semester abroad in Spain!!

If anyone has some suggestions of fun things to do in Madrid (or Valencia, but I assume I'll figure Valencia out after a few weeks), let me know. Also, I'll be doing a fair amount of travelling throughout the continent in April and May, so if anyone has suggestions for cool places to go, let me know.

Yes, I'm quite excited. And I know that a lot of you desk-sitters are a bit jealous. I understand, not much sounds better than being 20 and in the land of bull fighting, cigars, and sangria with a lot of time on your hands. So live vicariously through me by giving me suggestions! I'll keep you updated.

In Spain. Bullfights are must. See them in small town arenas or in larger cities.
In Madrid, the Prado is a world class museum.
Learn & use some Spanish. You must visit the Alhambra in Granada. The Alcazar in Segovia. Cordoba & Seville all nice cities. Maybe get to the Costa del Sol, Algerciras, Gibraltar (the rock of) & Tangiers (Morocco).
Lots of cathedrals, castles, manasteries and roman aquaducts. Now that`s sports, culture & architecture.
All you need is time & money.
Cuban cigars of course.
Eat patatas fritas & deep fried sardines. Tapas & paiella. The food is nothing to write home about.

Drink wine, beer and chase the girls.

Thanks,QM. I'll definately be checking out the Prado this Sunday. As for the bullfighting, girl chasing, etc... That's why we only have class Monday through Thursday.
