New evidence, however, suggest that both rain and snowfall may decrease across the region during dry years. The Oregonian;9/15/09 page 1
Brothers, let me remind you of the words of Charles M. Province, U.S. Army:
It is the Soldier, not the minister Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

It's your choice in the end! Try with a cube or two and then straight up. If the quality of boubon is high I sip without cubes and the lesser grade I might add a cube or two.
Where else would you rather be, than right here, right now?

On the rocks with a water chaser & a Bolivar Royal Corona or a Montecristo Edmundo. By the way, my local liquor store just got Woodford in; I´m going by tomorrow to pick up a bottle.

they dont have pappy's in my local stores. I've always like knob creek in a manhattan and it wasnt until jack bettridge put up that post about knob being done until later this year so what's on the shelves is the last stock that I got some. I've been feigning some bourbon. I drank this, two fingers, one cube and it has got the best dam flavor. It's going to be my 'stock' bourbon when I can afford to have it. I recently had this Eagle Rare? never heard of it, 10yrs old, and it was pretty dam good. a bit cheaper than knob. has anyone had anything to do with Jim Beam 8yr. I think its call jim beam black. any reviews??

I've grown up in Kentucky all my life but have just started getting into bourbon (I'm only 23). Sitting here sipping a pour of Eagle Rare right now, and its wonderful. I do put a cut of water into this bourbon just to allow myself to pick up on some flavor and not just get burn only through the nose. Some more experienced spirit drinkers probably wouldn't need any cut with this bourbon because of how smooth it is. I am lookin to get a bottle of Knob Creek soon - looks like I'll have to do it sooner now since their stock is gone haha.
yeah, eagle rare is smooth. I thought that it lacked a little body when it came to the manhattan and I needed a little more. But that's a cocktail and I've never had it straight. maybe I;ll have to get some and try it. go and get that knob Cedar, put a splash of water or an ice cube. what's funny is the more bourbon I drink, the more I have a taste for it. I seem to be choosing it more and over rum or scotch.
