Hello all!

So, I have a bride flying us to san miguel de allende for a wedding, and we will be staying in a house we rented for about a week...I have done plenty of beach weddings in Mexico, but i have never been inland, so I was wondering if anyone had been there before, and if yall knew of anyplace I could pick up some smokes while I was there and even if there were any BOTL around there (although I doubt it, it does not seem to be a very large place)...

Thanks for any info!

~brooks

I am very familiar with San Miguel; a few years ago, I had business interests there. All I can tell you, is that you are in for a treat. San Miguel in one of the most historic & beautiful towns in Mexico. Take walking shoes, it´s a walking town. They have great art galleries, wonderful restaurants & fun nightlife. If you like historic, colonial towns, you´ll have a great time in San Miguel.

Thanks so much for the info!

Any ideas on places to pick up smokes? I will bring my own, of course, but I am always on the lookout for more Smile

Thanks!

I live about 2 hours from San Miguel. Paul is right, it's a treat. It's a super tourist friendly town with beautiful architecture and the market of artesanias is filled with beautiful Mexican arts and crafts. Don't be surprised to hear as much English as you do Spanish. Lots of Americans and Europeans now call it home. As far as places to buy smokes go, there is not an authorised habanos dealer as far as I know, so don't plan on buying any sticks. The iept.com.mx site does not list any authorised distributors in the state of Guanajuato.

Did you fly in today? Wednesday? If you did I think I saw you in the airport. My in-laws may have been on the plane with you. I was standing there waiting for them with my wife. Could you have been the one with the beautiful lady or were you flying with that couple? How crazy that would be if you were there. The flight came from Dallas on AA. Hope you have a good time.

Brooks, Glad to see you made it back. How was your trip? Did you enjoy San Miguel? I'm curious as to whether or not you found a spot in San Miguel to buy Cubans or not.

San Miguel de Allende is great. We are now building a house there.
Now, do I have to worry in how to store some habanos there due the weather?
Saludos!
