So I am throwing a party saturday.

We want to keep it simple. Not a dinner party, but beer, wine, fir pit and some cigars.

We wanted to do some finger food, munchies, etc. So people could walk around talk and eat.

I also wanted to grill something.

We were thinking, italian meat tray, nice platter of cheese. You guys got any ideas, because I am fresh out of them.

Thanks.

N.

Two of my finger food favorites:

1. Shrimp
2. Bacon wrapped scallops

Also, a nice brie with some good crackers, is always a crowd pleasrer with my friends!

I must have missed my invitation.

Thinly sliced pepperoni, hard Italian sausage, Cubes of Swiss, Chedder, Jack cheese. A plate of Brie, Camenbert and some crackers wouldn't hurt.

Cruditee (Veggies such as baby carrots, celery, black olives, cherry tomatos, Broccholi) with some Maries Onion dip

Always a must for the ladies is wine such as Cabernet.

Just to ease my curiosity, is a "FIR PIT" what I think it is or did you forget an E?

My wife makes this thing for parties with a whole wheel of brie and preserves (apricot or raspberry) baked in a a pie crust. It is served with crackers. It is always the hit of the party.

Baked brie -- it's one of my all-time favorite things to eat.

ooooh me too, except it should be philo dough, and I prefer pure brie and to serve any preserves separate! (I'm picky as all hell.) I'm sure it's absolutely delicious, gasdoc.

I just asked my wife. She said she uses Pepperidge Farm Puff Pastry Sheets, not pie crust. Sometimes she puts walnuts in syrup instead of preserves. And yes, they are delicious.
