Anyone have a great website for travel deals? Tips for low fares? Know about sales?
I would love to start a thread and have it updated fairly often so we could all track whatever offers may come up.

3. BiddingForTravel.com is excellent for those who use Priceline.com. BiddingForTravel.com lists the hotels, by city and by star category, that participate in Priceline and it also contains a message board where people post what they paid. (i.e. if you're looking for a 4 star in San Francisco and see that the last 2 or 3 people got a 4 star hotel such as Grand Hyatt or Marriott for $75/night, it will give you an idea what the going rate is so that you do not overbid.)

http://www.betterbidding.com/ is also very helpful with Priceline information and has helped me book some very nice rooms for my family at a fraction of the list price, mostly 4 stars bopping down to Boston for weekends... but helpful info worldwide.

Have any of you guys had to use the service departments of the sites you listed?
I have always used an agent because I want to be able to talk to someone if there is an issue. Are these companies reliable should something get ****ed up?

I go to all the sites print out some of the deals that i am interested in and then i approach my agent. If your agent is good they will match the price and find other similar deals. here iget the best of both worlds. Price and Service.

For the ligero tobacco in the filler, he would use two types, one from Esteli and the other from Jalapa in Nicaragua. The other filler components, seco and viso, would come from Cuba, the former from Villa Clara, the latter from Pinar del Rio. I have never had a problem with Priceline. In fact, one time I was assigned a hotel that was undergoing renovation. I called Priceline and they cancelled the reservation for me. Keep in mind, it works great in some cities (i.e. I am almost always able to find a 4 star hotel in downtown San Francisco for $80 or less) and not as well as other cities (NYC and Honolulu quotes are only slightly better than you can find on your own directly from a hotel web site).
Of course, I know people who possess IATA cards and have access to all the discounts afforded to travel agents--even though they are not travel agents. I have had the opportunity to apply and receive such a card through others but have declined (travel agents earn so little as is and this is one of the few fringe benefits of their profession).
