I received this as an x-mas gift. I love good wine(from what little I drink)but I don't know a whole hell of a lot about wine. (more the beer guy) any info would be appreciated....

McWilliam's wines est.1877 Australia
box contains: a Chardonnay 2003
& Shiraz 2003
What type of smokes would you recomend when I crack these babies? Razz

Not familiar with those wines, but a chardonnay is relatively light (although big for a white). Ashton Cabinet or Avo XO could go well. Shiraz should be big and spicy. Try a CC (Partagas would work well) or a NC Punch, Padron, or Excaliber. CC Boli or JDN would likely overwhelm the wine. A Fuente Hemingway could work with either wine.
