Hi, I was in Honduras as a guest of Rocky Patel. The only place I saw cigars for sale was in the airport or the grocery store in the center of the capital city. I was also in Danli at a few cigar factories...no there makes enough money to buy smokes. Hey where in Jersey do you live? I belong to a great cigar club and lounge in Fairfield, NJ where you can smoke. E mail me for info Tazman9322@aol.com

If you can swing by Santa Rosa de Copan on your trip you can find some Honduran cigars. Search out Warren Post at Pizza Pizza he has the inside track on local cigars and would be happy to give it to you straight. Tell him Ralph Birchard sent you.
Any "Cubans" you find in Honduras will likely be locally-produced counterfeits (or in Nicaragua or the DR for that matter). Don't waste your money. There are no official LCDH outlets there and while the few upscale resorts and hotels there may offer a cigar concession, you can bet your bottom dollar you're not buying the real thing. Best advice: bring your own smokes.
