Guys, no reason to fight over this stuff. Opinions are like assholes and we all have one guys. I am drinking 7 yr Flor De Cana off a recommendation from this site and it's great. I could use a little more sweet taste but by itself it is great. I'm having the Oliva V (finally) with it and both are great. Tha V is very good and I would recommend it at the prices today. If it goes above $10 then maybe not. Anyway just opinions not arguements guys.

BTW, here is the "uppity" Vieux rhum JM I was mentionning a few posts back. It goes for 97 euros (about 150$). Click on "Zoom" to get a good look at the bottle...

So good, it will make you cry.

For my Canadian brothers--

Can you get Newfie Screech here in the US? Would I want to?

Flor de Cana is decent stuff. Nothing wrong with that.

To eleborate on the Screech. If there are any Newfies on the forums they may me more knowledgable but I suspect that "homemade" screech for NFLD may be alright. The stuff they bottle and sell as screech is paint thinner.

Newfie Scheech is a novelty rhum that is not marketed to aficionados but to those who are steeped in the tradition and long for a taste of nostalgia. The origins of Screech go way back.
