I am heading to Memphis ( Home of Elvis) next week and I was wondering if there are any places to enjoy a good cigar? I'm looking for a good bar or restaurant that allows smoking. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I leave for Memphis a week from tomorrow and I am looking for someplace where I can go and have a cigar after lunch or dinner. I would ideally like to find a place that is close to the Memphis Airport so I won't have to go too far. Any suggestions? Surely someone in Memphis smokes cigars?

Well I have done some independent research via the web and apparently there are a few cigar friendly bars in Memphis. We shall see as I leave a week from today. Since I will only be there for one day I may only get to stop into one bar or at the most two and see how friendly they are. I shall report back on my findings.

I was there last year and The Corner Bar at The Peabody Hotel had a friendly and well stocked Cigar bar. Not to sure how it is now, but I think its worth a shot.

They have a house blend cigar (not sure who makes them) that has a nice full flavor without being harsh. And its perfect with a glenfiddich rocks

Your first shot puts him down, then you put one in his brain. Then he's dead, then we go home

Thank you OPS. We have a Peabody here in Little Rock that has a very nice cigar bar even though they do not offer their own house blend. They do sell some premiums that are decent although a bit overpriced. I'll be bringing my own cigars so I won't have to worry about price.

Due to some bad sushi I had the night before my trip I did not venture over to the Peabody after my meeting in Memphis. Instead I went back to the airport and had a Punch Grann Puro at one of the bars at the airport. This is the first airport besides Atlanta where they allow smoking inside the airport before the gates.

It was a great little bar and I had a nice beer and cigar. I also met another aficianado and gave him a cigar to enjoy since he did not have his on him.
