What are some of your favorite adult beverages to drink while having a cigar?

I heard that clear spirits like vodka and gin are not good, but stuff like Bourbon, Brandy, and Rum are good cigar accompaniament.

Just wondering what your thoughts are.

A fine Bourbon (the selection depends on my mood) usually neat, occasionally on the rocks.

If I'm smoking at a party or somewhere where a quality Bourbon isn't available, a Jack and Coke does just fine.

I enjoy Cognac, Gin, Scotch, Bourbon, Irish Whiskey, Grand-Marnier.

Port (Ruby, LBV, Tawny or Vintage, it doesn't matter), cognac and (big) red wines.

Bass, Guiness, Comso's and Diet Coke.

Single Malt Scotch, all other whisky, beer, Cognac, coffee, and water.


Smoke it.

Bourbon neat (Blantons, Bookers, Bakers) or Vintage Port.

Port is sweet and syrupy to me... but with a cigar it is a very good match.
