so I got to try it this week-end while watching the F1 Grand-prix @ Stogies... now you have to know, that I'm not usually a lowland drinker.. I tend to prefer highland or islay scotches... but not this time...

The scotch was very nice on the nose... quite aromatic.. with deep & woody tones... also, it's color was very dark ..

the first sip reminded me of a good cognac rather than a scotch... it went down sooo smoothly....

it's texture was extremely velvety.. with pronounced caramel flavours..

the finish was nice and long, with a little sting towards the end...

I really enjoyed the scotch... paired it with a Ramon Allones Eminencia Swiss RE... it was a match made in heaven...

Highly recommended scotch ..... 90+ rated

I'll write up a review on the RA Emienecia later on this week...

this is going to be quite different than a laphoraig.... if you're looking for scotch recommendations, I can give you some.. do you only like isaly scotches ? or do you drink stuff from the rest of scotland ??

have you ever tried a Craggenmore double wood ?? or a Glenkinchie double matured ??

both excellent scotches.. but again.. very different than a laphoraig...

let me know what you like.. I have a nice collection of scotch bottles (around 20 bottles) , ansd have had my share of drams...
