Hey guys! The U.S. Congress declared September National Bourbon Heritage Month. What's your favorite Bourbon Drink and what is your favorite Bourbon?

I have to go with the Manhattan served up. My favorite Bourbon is Basil Hayden's and Maker's Mark.

Hmmmm . . . I honestly don't know where to begin . . . Wink

I generally drink my bourbon straight up, possibly with one ice cube or a spash of water. Currently I'm sporting bottles of Bulleit, Maker's Mark, Buffaloe Trace, Jefferson's Reserve, Black Maple Hill 8yr., Van Winkle 12 yr. and Eagle Rare 17 yr.

I also really enjoy a Manhattan, mint julep or Old Fashioned.

I'm also starting to get into Rye whiskey, which actually pre-dates Bourbon as America's first spirit (but admittedly has fallen on very hard times since prohibition.) My new favorite cocktail is a Sazerac. Absolutely fantastic!

Cheers!

Wow the US Gov't declaring Sept National Bourbon Heritage Month!

Sounds like fun to me. My hands down favorites are Rip Van Winkle 12 and 15 year old, and Wild Turkey Rare Breed. Had 4 bottles of each one and they are all gone.

Jack Single Barrel is also OK.

Rip Van Winkle 12yr, Maker's Mark.

Straight up for these...

However, I like to occasionally "slum" with Old Grand Dad on the rocks when I'm working around the house.
