I'll be in Indi this coming week and would like to know of some good cigar bars and/or bars in general. Thanks for your help. I also took your advice while I was in Denver last month and was very pleased with the archives that I had read,

Thanks,

There are several great places to dine, smoke and drink while in indy.

If you are looking for something upscale I would recommend eating a great steak at St. Elmo's on Illinois street downtown. They have great shrimp cocktail sauce... it's a specialty. They also have an upscale bar if you just want drinks.

I would also recommend Nicky Blaine's on Meridian Street for Cigar's and Martini's. Great place to relax, have a cigar and a drink on any one of a number of sofas. Although, cigars are greatly overpriced so bring your own if you are travelling with some.

Another great place is to go to The Claddagh. They have a great selection of beers and also have cigars. They have great irish food as well.

THose are just a few.... let me know if you have any questions or need more suggestions.

Second vote for St. Elmo's. Hint: Don't breath out through your nose while the cocktail sauce is in your mouth!

There is also a Sullivan's that recently (last year?) opened in the Keystone Crossing area.

I am not a local but I go to Indianapolis every year for CEDIA and found a great cigar lounge called "Olives" attached to the Omni Hotel by the RCA dome. It is not a restaurant but rather a martini bar/cigar lounge and should have what you are looking for in a cigar bar. Big Grin

You have got to go to St. Elmo's. Try the shrimp cocktail and watch out!!!!!!!!!! Talk about horseradish.

I am in town staying at the Omni downtown and want to know where the nearest tobacco shop is. I know this hotel has a cigar lounge but the cigar's are obviously more expensive. Anyone know where the nearest place to buy reasonably priced smokes is in the downtown area.

Thanks

James
