I read somewhere that rollers (in Cuba?) drink only tea when taste testing cigars. Can anyone confirm this?

I think tea (some potent earl grey) is my favorite thing to drink with a cigar. It seems to compliment the cigar and even help me discern flavors. If its a stronger cigar a little milk/sugar is dope.

I also like Scotch with cigars, but it doesn't open up the flavors of the smoke as much.

Earl Grey is flavored with oli of Bergamont is may not be the best thing to drink when tasting cigars for flavor.

I would go with cool water if it is the nuances that you are looking for.

The bergamot may be was does it. Great with stronger cigars.
