He didn't get them off the street. He got them at the cigar shop and the resort he was staying at. Doubt they are fake.
oh, they're fakes.. I've been to Jamaica, at the Sandals in Negril (5 starts ultra-all inclusive luxury resort), and all the cigars at the store were as fakes as a 3$ bill.... trust me.... I even saw a guy at one of the duty free shop selling some poor old lady a bundle of Cohiba Robusto that came in a platic bag.....

as for my favourite Havana Club, it is by far the cuban barrel proof..OMG, the best HC I've ever drank (apart of the 15 year old, which is 3 times the price of the cuban barrel proof)
