What if you live where it's always warm? No brown liquor ever or just when I travel up North?

I've heard that before about bronw liquor. I know that there is a guy from the country club who also does this each year.
Just curious how many other people practice this method?

my scotch is in season all year round... i agree that mixed drinks with lots of ice are better suited for the summer, but after a few "sissy" drinks, the real stuff always gets out.. and besides, once the sun sets, it just feels right to sip a good single maltt with that stogie
In central Florida there is no "Winter" so the 'Brown' season never starts or finishes. Rum or Canadian and cokes or Bourbon on the rocks are always a staple. With only 10 days of 'Fall', Gin & Tonics, Vodka Martinis and any other light drinks are enjoyed 355 days a year

Although the weather is pretty much the same here in Santa Barbara (maybe 7-10 degree difference) year round, I do find that as the days get longer I tend to prefer Patron over scotch, Corona over Newcastle or Guinness, mixed drinks over neat tumblers.
Cigars are infinitely more pleasurable in the late summer twilight as well........I probably smoke twice as much when it is warm.
Pull it up, guys. Brown spirits are in season all year long...if you do a little tinkering.
The next time you(or your better half) buy a pack of mushrooms(or whatever)in a styrofoam container, save it.
Put your good whisk(e)y in a short, old-fashioned glass in the container. Put water in the container, add 4 or 5 ice cubes to the water and you can have a good drink without watering it down, just like winter, or fall, or spring.
This works especially well here in Houston. I tried it without tinkering and the whisk(e)y gets so hot that it just evaporates in your mouth so fast that the taste disappears.
In case you didn't notice, I drink outside--that is where I smoke.

I still like to drink dark rum in the summer. I love Havana Club Anejo over ice and Bacardi 8 over ice in the summer. I also enjoy lite rum drinks in the summer.
This is a sad day...although I don't think I can limit myself to only drinking scotch and bourbon when its cold outside. A cold beer sounds really good today here in Georgia where its 80+ degrees.
Whiskey and Bourbon never goes out for me. If I'm not drinking beer, Whiskey/Bourbon is my drink of choice. If not on the rocks, then CC and 7, highballs, Crown and coke, whatever, I love the dark liquor.
Hey don't forget a well made Margarita on the rocks with the salt. My favorite in the sun drink.

Had my last brown liquor last weekend courtesy of URiah...some nice Red Breast
An ice-cold Martini never goes out of season for me, but with a twist of lemon instead of olives
This summer, I'll probably do some Danzka grapefruit vodka and tonics along with the usual Bombay and tonic.
Red Stripe beer is a summer staple in my fridge.
And finally, for "school nights," good old non-alcoholic Appolonaris sparkling water with either a twist of lemon & lime, or a big wedge of orange. Cucumber/lemon SmartWater is good stuff too.
