Greeting to all. I'm going to Orange County for the first time ever the last week in June. Can anyone direct me to some cigar friendly establishments? Many thanks.

The OC isn't that far from me. I have never been to a cigar establishment down there but there is a cigar shop in laguna niguel that is supposed to be very good. I will get the address for you if I can.

Where in Orange County will you be?....you could be looking at a drive of upwards of an hour (or more) from 1 area of the county to another in traffic.

Ooops, sorry....didn't see Laguna Niguel...last summer, there was a nice cigar store in Laguna Beach (about a 10 minute drive) I hit called Mr. Bones...decent selection of cigars....you would also be in the neighborhood of some excellent restaurants, including Las Brisas (overlooking the ocean and I do believe you would be allowed to smoke on their outdoor patio that has a million dollar view of the Pacific), Opah (good seafood--but you cannot smoke) and 5 Feet.

Thanks for the 411 so far. I'm going to be staying at the Ritz Carlton. There's nothing on its website that tells me whether they have somewhere in it to smoke a cigar. I won't have a car although I can get one if any of these places you've mentioned is worth it. I'm mostly looking for a comfortable spot more than selection. If the selection is mediocre, I'll whip out something from my stash.

If you will not have a car, then bring your own...Ritz is very, very nice and you can find a place to smoke outdoors with a phenomenal view...friend of mine got married there a few years ago and it was very nice. Make a point to check out the nearby Montage Resort as well.

Had a fine week last week at the Ritz. Brought a week's worth of stash (all Cubans) and was able to smoke on my balcony, pool, and the verandas overlooking the beach. I found a fine cigar shop in Dana Point with a very wide selection of NCs (and a very well endowed salesgirl) Bought a PAM, a Sosa, and a Camacho Havana just to be neighborly. Discovered Javier's in Laguna Beach (the BEST Cadillac Marguaritas) and fine food, Savannah Steak and Chop House (first rate Martinis and killer Prime Rib) and Gen Kai (terrific sushi). Took in a Dodgers game (vs. Padres). An all around great time. Just when you think you've seen the most beautiful girl ever, a better one comes by or around, ad infinitum.
