I find that during the colder months, I prefer heavier Stouts, Ales and Malt brews. Now that it has warmed up, I tend to lighten it up with Wheat’s, Blonds and Pilsners. Is that just me?

Nope, it isn't just you. Although I do have a few beers that I'll drink regardless of what season it is.

I'm with you there. Dark heavy beer during the colder months and generally lighter beer during the summer. Nothing like a light refreshing beer on a hot summer day.

Yep, mine changes with the seasons. While I like just about all beers, stouts and hoppy IPAs just don't sound good to me in the summer months. I need a refreshing wheat or ale for those times. I lean on the darker, more full-bodied beers in the winter months. It is nice to sit in front of the fire with some summer sausage and pepper jack accompanied by a dark or spicy beer, just can't do it in the summer.

My taste in beer is the same year round, generally speaking. That being said, I refuse to drink Mexican beers unless the it's hot and sunny... They lose their appeal in the winter months. That's probably just me though.

Actually it's not just you, those of us who posted the heavier/fuller beer in the winter and lighter, crispier beer in the summer are saying essentially the same thing. Having said that, it's not that I don't drink light beers in winter and heavy beer in summer, it's just my preference changes. Beer is beer as long as it's good, I like them.

I agree with you, although I'm not apt to drink an imperial stout on a hot summer day, nor a barrel aged sour beer on a cold winters night...

Interesting. I find I lean more toward the IPAs during the hotter months. Of course, my days of drinking four or five beers on a hot Summer day are long gone so that may be the difference. I do drink less stout in the Summer but there are times a pint of Guiness is just the ticket on a Summer day if I'm stopping into a local pub for dinner or lunch.
