I am out in the middle of Kinston, NC. My hotel does not have Internet and there is nothing to do! I've been smoking cigars every night out by the pool. That is all I can do. You hear horror stories from other business travelers but you never think it will happen to you. HELP ME!!!!!

I know what your talkin about Cleveland Mike. As as sales rep, I'm on the road a good deal of the time and the same stuff, night after night, certainly get's to ya (foreign town, same chain restaurants, same brand hotels, etc...)
But hey, it could be worse right. Summertime, in Warm/muggy North Caronlina, poolside with smokes... Sounds alright with me for a few days.

Hell I just got back from Saint Joseph MO on the eighteenth. All I could do was smoke in my room. They were remodeling the pool. And the bar was not even opened yet because we were training the new staff for the Houlihan's there.
Now that was torture.

In NC's defense, I do enjoy stopping by JR's also... but what I REALLY dig is stopping by Smithfield's Chicken and Bar-b-que in Smithfield, NC - Exit 95 off I-95. That pulled pork sammich with coleslaw is to die for! I think they have 5 or 6 of the restaurants in NC, but all I know is the one in Smithfield. Any one else been there?

andymiami, My sister-in-law is from Smithfield. We gorged at Smithfield Chicken and BBQ for a couple of days. Simply delicious. Also spent a lot of time (and $$) at JR's in Selma.

lexgar, if I lived in Smithfield I would be in some SERIOUS trouble!!!! I went so far as to buy a Smithfield Bar B Que baseball hat! And JR's is always a good take, but living in Miami has me rather spoiled on the cigar front! Take care and let me know the next time you head to Smithfield, I may send you a cooler to fill up for me! Kind Regards, Andy

I didn't stop at the BBQ joints. I played it safe and went to TGI Friday's. I am afraid to try "local" foods. It is the accountant in me. I try to keep things the same when it comes to food. It's weird, I know.
