hey do you guys DECANT that older wine ?

i got this VINTURI and am using it like a nut on everything, even a coffee once, until someone mentioned that i should NOT aerate older red wines

Many elaborate ways to decant wine, but I simply place the bottle standing up 24 hours before drinking, pull the cork & pour slowly. You won't run into any "sludge" until the final inch. If your wine is filtered before bottling, it will not have sediment, but filtering also strips out a lot of flavor.
