I tried the new Budweiser Select today. I liked it. I am not a big Budweiser fan but this new one is good and does not have that heavy after taste that Budweiser has.

have you tried the beer with caffine and vitmans and whatnot, I think Bud makes it, small little can, I heard it was nasty, but that was from a guiness man...

No I have not heard of it yet but I was wondering when they would come up with a beer/energy drink.

It's called "B to the e" (like and exponent). From what I understand it's essentially red bull with alcohol and carbonation. I've been too scared to try it personally, so I won't comment on the taste.

I think I will give it a try when I see it.

i drank several of the selects last night and they really are very good. not really that much different than bud light but seems a little crisper and maybe not as much aftertaste...

Never considered myself much of a snob, but I never liked Bud. Drank Michelob when I was in my 20's and 30's, tried it a few years ago and didn't like it at all. Dark Mexican and German beer for me!

The select is just another low carb product. They didn't want to screw with the cash cow that is Bud Light and give Miller Lite a leg up, so they came out with the Bud Select label on which is essentially a lower calorie/carb beer. However, me likey!
It will be interesting to see how they market it. They'll have to mention the reduced carbs and calories, but isn't that what Bud Light was supposed to do?
I like regular Bud though.
Peace.

I believe you are correct. On the bottle it claimes to have 99 calories, 3.1 carbs. This would put it in the lite beer cattagory.

I like all different kinds of beer. As I get older is becomes more difficult to keep the beer gut away. I dont have one yet but I am not as active as I was 20 years ago and drinking lite beer helps to keep me from getting it. Besides after two or three beers does the taste really matter that much.

Under 100 calories and 3.1 carbs.....I can get pretty drunk for under a thousand calories, and I won't have all those carbs weighing me down, so I can eat more in my drunken binge at the waffle house!
Peace.

Life is too short to drink Budweiser. I have a friend who owns a bar. They have 50 beers on tap. 50, all the same price, $3 a pint. It blows me away what people order. Bud, Bud light, Coors Light, and PBR.
Thats a trip, aint it. I'll drink a silver bullet every know and then because I cant always afford Corona and etc. If Im at a bar with 50 different beers on tap and all for 3 bucks. You can bet your a$$ I wont be drinking mass produced and preservative laden beer.
