I will be traveling to St. Lucia for the first time in October. Does anyone have any tips as to where to purchase good cigars. I will be staying at one of the Sandals resorts. I was told by the resort that they sold cigars in their gift shop but they would not say what kind or give the country of origin. Anyone with experience they can share?
I went there 8 years ago on my honeymoon. You will love it there, I did. Are you staying at the main resort? The island is small and it doesn't take long to figure that out. There are some cigars in the gift shop but I didn't smoke cigars back then, so no help to you there. It is a tropical island so the beaches are small. The weather is great. The pool in the main resort(where my wife and I stayed)has a float up bar, meaning my wife would push me over to the bar, on my float, and I'd get another good drink and float away. The food is excellent and prepare to put on some lbs. Let me know what you think when you get back. Have FUN

Thanks for the helpful info. Also, please excuse my poor manners. I have never joined any kind of forum before and do not know the proper etiquette.
My name is Chris and I am a prosecuting attorney in Tennessee. I began smoking cigars in college when my fraternity (Sigma Phi Epsilon) began hosting an event called "Hoggies and Stogies." My favorite affordable smoke is a Padron 2000 Maduro. I don't smoke many natural cigars but find one I like from time to time. The problem is, the naturals I like cost too much.
I bought my first house this past Nov. Prior to that, I smoked about 1 to 2 cigars a month (I've maintained a small humidor since 1999). However, I have a large deck on the back of my new house overlooking a family farm. I find myself out there with a cigar watching the cows after work at least twice a week now.
I look forward to meeting everyone on the forum and sharing stories about the good in the world.
Welcome Chris, I'm building a new deck this summer. I think the idea of sitting on your back deck and smoking a cigar at the end of the day has to be one of the most relaxing things in life. Sounds like you live in a beautiful place. Again welcome and enjoy.
