The
Chateau Frontenac is the best place in town. Its probably full.
I've stayed at the
Loews le ConcordeHere a
accomodationquebeccity list.
Places on
Grande Allée,
Vieux Québec are what you are looking for.
Auberges are smaller places that may have 5 to 20 rooms. I've stayed at three of them. All were very good.
Québec City is a small place. There are the gates, the Plaines D'Abraham, the lower city, Grande Allée., The Chateau Frontenac, the Funiculaire (cable car).
Just outside of the city are Montmorency Falls, Ste-Anne Falls, Ste-Anne de Beaupré Church, Ile d'Orléans.
A few hours downstream (that's north east) the
Saguenay River (or fyord) meets the St Lawrence River at Tadoussac. The cliffs, sea and whale watching are impressive.
