Delmonico's (Venetian), CraftSteak (MGM Grand), Nine (Palms), Mon Ami Gabi (Paris), Palms and Bradley Ogden (Caesar's) and Prime (Bellagio) are all excellent choices as well.

I would alsom recommend Delmonicos. I've eaten there three times, and the service and quality have been top-notch. Craftsteak would be my second choice.

...Gallaghers at NYNY.........exceptional and huge dry-aged NY steaks that are making my mouth water as I post. Del Frisco's another excellent choice, but it looks like you can forget about having a cigar at the table afterwards at Del Frisco's and the rest from what the receptionist at Del Frisco's told me.

I would have to suggest Binion's Steakhouse. It is located in the old downtown section of Vegas in a casino of the same name. Hardwood grilled prime beef....simply outstanding. Well worth the drive. Overlooks the Freemont street experiance.

I recommend The Delmonico Steakhouse, at the Venetian. And while the stekhouse is great, the experience can go so much further. Be sure you meet Kevin Vogt, Master Sommelier, he can recommend a perfect wine from one of the best, independent collections in Las Vegas, of course, but start a conversation about cigars and whisky and you'll make a new friend. I've tried many steakhouses in Southern California, Las Vegas and New York, and The Delmonico Steakhouse is currently my favorite having eaten at the restaurant more than 30 times. Del Frisco's is a VERY close second.
Delmonico, like many others, offers a tasting menu available only at the "kitchen table." They have a room connected to the kitchen that provides a unique experience where you'll meet and interact with Head Chef Dana (with the help of Vinny and Brian), one of only a handful of chefs to work directly with Emeril. Your tasting menu will be created "on the fly" by Chef, and you'll get some very creative dishes unlike any you'll see on the menu. And don't worry, I've done the tasting menu 10 times now, and I've had a steak every time, you'll get a bunch of different things, but you can count on getting a steak mixed in. You can also have Kevin Vogt pair wines with each of the 5-8 courses, and gain a rare opportunity to interact, question and converse with one of only a few MASTER Sommeliers. Yes, Emeril owns the Delmonico, but trust me, it's not a chain-like, made for TV kind of restaurant. Instead, it's one that is truly wanting to be the best in Las Vegas.
I highly recommend the Delmonico Steakhouse, and I hope you have a chance to experience it for yourself.

I have taken business associates to dinner at Del Frisco's twice in the last 6 mos -- the last time was over the Presidents' Weekend (3 weeks ago). FOod and service were outstanding. For a business dinner I actually find their prices very resonable...depending on your wine selections

In just recently stayed at the new Wynn. It has a high end steakhouse that was excellent. I believe it is called the Steve Wynn steakhouse. The Wynn is huge and there is actually another steakhouse as well that overlooks their golf course, so make sure you go to the right place.
Several years ago I ate at Craft's Steak House at MGM and it was fantastic. They brought me a huge piece of meat that was perfectly cooked. The waiter suggested an excellent wine and after dinner I was able to have a cigar with some scotch. A wonderful evening that I will not soon forget. I hope that the next time I am in Vegas I can repeat the experience.
in vegas, you can't smoke at any restaurant (or any place that serves food for that matter)... your best bet would be to go to casa de la fuente at the forum shops, and enjoy a kick-ass smoke after dinner.... that's what i did 2 weeks ago... rib-eye at delmonico's and fuente opus X chili with some calvados at casa de la fuente... beats smoking at the casino anytime (specially that all you can smell is cigarette smoke on the gambling floor)

Except now you gotta be inside the store to smoke--try the house brand.

Actually I was there 2 weeks ago, and they still had the patio... I read somewhere the owner of casa de la fuente is suing the city and has an injunction until his court case is heard.. I'm just not sure when he's going to court...
They have filed a restraining order against the health department. They should go to court sometime in April. Unitl then, you can smoke on their "patio".

the good newes just came in..... the judge has allowed casa de la fuente to keep the patio operational for the momment... he agrees that the patio is an integral part of the lounge, and therefore smoking is allowed... now it's up to the nevada health department to appeal the ruling...
