just wanted to say that I love Manhattans. There is just something about them that makes my mouth water whenever I think about them. With the mixing of Makers Mark and some M & R Sweet Vermouth with some ice, heaven is created. And when I pair it up with a good Cuban, it's paradise. Anybody else love these as much as I do?

When I make a nice Manhattan at home, it's also with Maker's Mark and M&R. Very tasty, indeed! After your post, I'm craving one, now... and it's only 8:30am!!!

You're right TreeFrog, the M&R really makes a difference. I used to use the Gallo Sweet Vermouth, and it was so-so. But when I tried the M&R, I couldn't believe the difference! A LOT smoother.

Excellent taste in libations!

Try, if you do not already, splash a dash of Angosturo Bitters in the Manhattan prior to shaking and pouring or if you prefer, on the rocks.
