I usually drink Gin in the summer and Bourbon or Scotch in the winter but at one time I used to drink mixed drinks almost daily.

When I worked in OBS/GYN at Queens Hospital back in the 1990's I would stop at the same friendly tavern every evening before going home.

My drink of choice was an Almond Daquiri. (Crushed almonds with lime juice and rum with a touch of sugar.)

Every night at 6:00 I would walk into the tavern and order the same drink, an Almond Daquiri.

The bartender, Mike would usually have it ready to pour when I walked in (and his tip reflected the prompt service)

One evening I walked into the tavern and there was my drink, waiting for me, but when I tasted it there was something different.

Mike, I said, That's not an Almond Daquiri.

I was out of Almonds, doc, so I made a substitution. That's a Hickory Daquiri, Doc.

Wink
