Just got back from Romania. Bucharest was disappointing, but much of the rest of the country was great. Transylvania is a beautiful area, and "Dracula's Castle" would make a nice B&B. It was built on top of a fortress built by the Knights Templar.
The LCDH in Bucharest was a let down. The cigars were not in great shape, many were cracked or unwinding. The RH on the hygrometers indicated about 63% RH or less. Prices were outrageous, and selection was minimal.
In general the Romanian people were great, except the pickpockets and petty thieves...had to fend off a 12 year old trying to pick my pockets. Very attractive women too..a bonus!

I'm not extravagant hopes to travel all over Europe, but I love my trips in Spain. It is a beautiful country, and cities like menorca and san sebastian are all unforgettable. I'd love to go back for awhile. If you're in Barcelona be sure to check out the Picasso museum as well and the best way to get around Spain is by train. But I want to travel through all of Europe, it's my dream!
Been to Romania many times. The castle at Bran is "marketed" as Dracula's castle, but the old boy was only there for a few days. Vlad's genuine haunts can be found in two places. The first is the large castle (remnants) and grounds in Targoviste. There is also the mountaintop fortress in Poenari that is much more imposing and difficult to get to than the castle in Bran. The Poenari site is where his wife Elizabeta threw herself from the castle and committed suicide, pushing ol' Vlad over the edge.
I've never found any smoke shops, but I have found some outlets in a couple of malls in Cluj where you can find a decent selection of Cubans.
