Who doesn't like root beer?

Well a Swede and a German told me that it tastes like medicine.
Ahhh. WTF do they know.

The brands around here are MUG, Hires, A & W, Barq's.

What about you?

I love root beer! As a kid I remember going to an A&W drive in and getting a root beer float in a big (really heavy) frosted glass mug. It was the perfect way to end a hot summer day.

I love rootbeer and have recently found I enjoy cigars and rootbeer together (only good rootbeer though).

Henry Weinhardts longneck bottle rootbeer and IBC rootbeer are the best in IMHO.

Absolutely. A good root beer with a mean bad-a$$ maduro is delicious. As is cherry soda.

Love Root Beer. I've noticed some breweries have thier own root beer. Not taking away from A&W but some breweries made a mean Root Beer.

Oh, man, I haven't thought of root beer in ages. When my brother and I were little, we used to love drinking it cold and fast and then
having multiple belching contests to gross out our sister.

If you ever find yourself down in San Antonio, Texas, make sure you stop by Schilo's Deli downtown -- they have been making their own root beer since 1917 and damn fine stuff it is!! No offense to A&W, but this stuff rocks! Excellent German and Polish dining fare to boot.

Stewart's is a classic root beer.

Also - locally in PA, we have Lion Brewery brand root beer. About $7 per 6-pack, but worth it. It's the La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel of root beers. Add a scoop of the very best vanilla ice cream you can get and man, you have one killer float.

A & W used to be good, when A & W made it. I believe it's 7 UP owned now. My favorite was Frosty. Used to drink it as a kid, I'm not sure if it was local to Michigan or not, but it was very good. Jones is good as is IBC.

I too love a good root beer. I am a fan of A&W, Barq's, Stewarts, and IPC. I haven't had one in quite some time and now you have me craving one with a cigar....not that I needed to find another reason to smoke.
