Every year my wife makes home-made liqueurs. She and most poeple who tried those like them very much. For my taste they are a little too sweet, although I would occasionally enjoy one depending on mood. So far she has been using: cherry, black cherry, walnut (unripe green walnuts that turn black after processing), peach stones with some flesh, and apricot. This year she tried smth new: sea buckthorn. For those who may not know these are little bright orange berries that have very distinct special flavor and grow on thorny bushes. So today was the bottling day, and I gave a sceptical try. My goodness... it was deliciuos. Ambrosia, nectar of gods, you name it... The best liqueur I ever tried, whether home or factory made. Still under the impression.
