it is a nice tasting great aroma dram , a bit pricy but then all good whisky is a bit pricy , it is as differnt from Redbreast single malt Irish whisky as a highland malt is to an Islay malt , the taste is all on YOUR lips, what I enjoy about an Islay single malt might be what you DONT like about an Islay single malt , so if your brother tells you the Castle is the best he has ever had, well you owe it to your self to find a Pub that has it, or Bite the bullet & buy a bottle bild with out tasting it before hand , I cant even get it here in Penna. the state runs all the shops to state regulations with state employees, over paid stock boys is all they are , no one is allowed to give recomendations or just dont know what to tell you, dammmmmm dont get me started on the arcaic system we have here in Penna , I do enjoy a weeee dram of whisky with my coffee & cigar , so go out spend the bucks & get a bottle, then report back after you have finished it ( but not all in one sitting) & let us know what your taste buds told you ! Enjoy, Vince

Anything that comes out of the Bushmills distilery is amazing in my opinion... Never had the Knapogue but I'm a big fan of the 10, 12 & 16 year old Bushmills malts as well as Black Bush: Great Whiskeys, find somewhere that has the 10 & 16 year olds (and the Black Bush) and see what you think, like cigars the only way to know is try...
