I'm heading to OKC this weekend. I was wanting to see if anyone had any "MUST DO" attractions. Also want to know about cigar stores and/or lounges to check out. I think we're staying near Bricktown, and going to check out the Memorial, and maybe the zoo.
I will be there on Sunday and Monday. Let me know. I appreciate it!

Cool I have family in Joplin! For a good smoke check out the tinder box. They have a good selection. They are in the first national center. Old 25 or so story building downtown

Since you'll be downtown/bricktown you can take a ride on the canal. The Ball park is in bricktown, but no games this weekend. You got the Arts center, botanical gardens, Cowboy hall of fame (not downtown), The state capitol is abotu 2-3 miles away, the omniplex is right next to the zoo. Bass pro shops are downtown in bricktown if that is your thing.
Here are a couple site to check out for some ideas:
When I was there I took a side journey in OKC to visit the Federal Building Monument. It was a somber and thought-provoking visit for me, and I'm glad I took the time to go see it. It was not what I expected.
Have fun too, but I would think a trip to OKC lacking if that part is left out.

I didn't get to make it by the Tinder Box. Was busy couple of days. Wish I would have been off the day before, so I could have had more time. Sunday, we checked out the OKC Bombing Memorial and the Zoo. Loved the zoo. And the Memorial was amazing. You had to erase 9/11 to a certain point in your mind, otherwise, you would think.... "this wasn't that big of a deal" ... but at the time, it was the biggest deal! And to think how intense and huge the New York Memorial will end up being... wow. My high point of the zoo was feeding the Lorikeets! It was awesome. We ate at Red Rocks on the lake on Sun. night, and tried to go to Bricktown again, for the night. It ended up pouring and lots of places closing early, since it was Sun. night. I tried the cigar bar, Maker's. I was a little disappointed. They obviously didn't have a good smoke-eater in there, was nearly too much for me. And there were no servers... only the bartender. I thought it sounded like a nice place to relax and thought you would get served. We ended up leaving before I ever got my Padron Anniversary out.
Monday, we went to the Crystal Bridge & Myriad Gardens and then, to the Cowboy Museum. Very cool places. I really enjoyed our trip to OK City!
Thanks for all the pointers and advice.
