I brought my wife to Atlanta this weekend for a trip to the Braves game and so she could do some shopping.

We always stay in a hotel that is cigar friendly, usually the Ritz Carlton in Buckhead, but this time I wanted a change. I booked a room at the Four Seasons Hotel in mid-town and, before making reservations, checked their website for a cigar policy.

While not explicitly stated, their website contains photos of the bar that clearly show boxes of cigars on the tables and cigars in the ashtray. The photos can be found here:

Well, we check in and I head to the bar for a smoke. When we get there I'm told that the bar has a strict no smoking policy of any kind. Luckily, we booked a terrace room, so I was able to sit outside on a very windy and chilly night to enjoy a smoke.

I'll be sticking with the Ritz from now on and encourage my fellow BOTLs to do the same.

Well they have to create a safe and odor-free environment for Mr. and Mrs. Suburban to have their chardonnay after the Norah Jones concert.

After looking at that picture, I'd say you have a right to be royally pissed. Unless, that is, rooms at the four seasons run about $75/night. Smile Smile
