We are going to spend Christmas week in Vegas! Any suggestions for Christmas dinner for 9 people? I know about the great steaks, etc.; however, I am looking for a special Christmas type dinner. any suggestions?

Fat Weed....I've always wanted to spend Christmas in Vegas but coming from a tight knit Italian family we all get together for the holidays and missing one would pretty much be likened to being disowned.

Have fun. I am sure some of the hotels are going to serve a traditional Christmas meal in their restaurants. This past Thanksgiving my Mother and I decided that since it was just going to be the two of us together we'd go to Atlantic City NJ for Thanksgiving Day and spend the night. We had a wonderful dinner at Bobby Flay's restaurant in the Borgota Hotel. Mom had the traditional turkey dinner, while I had a steak ( I figure when going to a steak house you should order the steak). Overall it was a wonderful meal and my Mother was thrilled that she did not have to clean up after our relatives this year and that someone else got to do the cooking

I come from a traditional Mexican family, so same situation. My sister and I find Christmas tough because my mom died around then 7 years ago. We finally decided :to hell with everyone" and we are gonna have a good time.

11 years ago December 12th my Father passed away and that year my Mother and I spent Christmas in the Bahamas which was fantastic. We didn't exchange presents but just enjoyed the time together.

For me though it really is family that has helped me get through this time of year.

Now if only I could convince my family to go to Vegas for Chistmas... It'll never happen but it's always good to dream

I just had to get the rooms comped to convince them!

Now that's a great way to do that...unfortunately I don't gamble enough to do that....

It is never too late to start!
