JR's corporate store in Whippany NJ, has a bar and smoking lounge as well as being the largest humidor I've ever seen. Its big.

The Cigar Bar at Paradisus Princesa Del Mar (formerly Sandals PDLM) in Varadero rates a mention. I enjoyed a few cigars visiting this hotel from Sandals Hicacos last year. While they do bring out their open boxes from the humidor every night (exposing them to the unfirnedly elements), there is no extra charge for singles and the woman there was the most helpful staff person I have found in a Cuban cigar store. She ordered me a lovely 898 box of Gloria Cubana and got me hooked on the smoothness of Trinidads. The bar is only open to hotel guests and since it is no longer affiliated with Sandals I will miss it this year. I would have booked Princesa del Mar just for this bar, were it not $1000 more than Sandals Hicacos.
I figured that since this was a sticky, newbies will search (yeah, right) here first for cigar bars. Here's one not in this thread in our Nation's capitol:
Great people, really good food, good selection of sticks, private lockers (if you're lucky enough to get one) and great drinks. My usual Friday lunch spot.
Cheers!

How did you like Tallin?...have always thought about checking that place out along with St. Petersburg....my other option that I'm thinking about and hearing great things about is Croatia--this would be a summer vacation in 2008. Thanks

Tallinn is now one of my favorite places to visit (and I've been around!). The place is beautiful, the people are friendly (and speak English), and the women are GORGEOUS! I thoroughly enjoyed the sight seeing by day and the entertainment by night. The food is great, the medieval city is unparalleled for elegance and history, and they have great cigar bars. Try the "Ice Bar" where they serve drinks in shot glasses made of ice.
I cannot say enough good things about Estonia.
I also traveled to Helsinki during that trip....that was an expensive waste of time. There was nothing about Helsinki that was unique. I could have been in any large metropolitan area. The Finnish countryside was very nice though.

My wife and I were in Boston in June and went to a really cool place on Boylston St. called cigar masters. Really neat place right downton. If your ever in Boston, you should check it out.
I took a short detour to Croatia (Rijeka/Split) from Bosnia, several years ago and though my visit was limited due to our mission, I would recommend it - the people seemed very friendly and the city/countryside was beautiful.

I live in Nashua, NH and if you enjoy a game of pool with your cigar The Boston Billiards Club is a good place to enjoy both along with a good selection of drinks and a light menu.
Given this climate of anti-smoking Nazis dominating most areas of the country, where is the BEST place to live and still light up a good smoke without the fear of landing in the pokey?? Thanks.
I live in CO so the Nazis have fully infiltrated most places. There is a nice bar here on at the Broadmoor that I love going to and it has a lovely fireplace outside if you want to smoke outside. Other than that and 15C down here in the Springs, we don't have much Does anyone know of any good places in Denver that still allow it? I enjoyed going to Mortons before the ban. If you are looking for a place that allows smoking everywhere including the hospital room, try Wyoming I went to a small town there the other weekend and everyone and their dog was still smoking everywhere even inside! I lit up a cigar and the only looks I got were because I was a woman and not wearing cowboy boots

I stayed at the Hyatt in Washington DC about 2 years ago that had a great cigar bar in the lobby that was separated from all other areas of the hotel. It was great, but I would not be surprised if it was shuttered as I heard of some bans in the DC area.
Great discussion. I want to share this with all of you since this is the cigar lounge I am a regular at that has started a gret vibe for cigar aficionados like me. I really enjoy this place to relax and have a good smoke.
If anyone visits NYC recently, then check out the new Bayside cigar lounge called Habana Hut located in Queens, NYC.
The Habana Hut is the place to go for a great smoke and good coffee.
In an age when most restaurants and bars in New York City are smoke-free, a refuge for cigar aficionados is available in Bayside, Queens.
"If you enjoy a nice cigar in a nice, relaxing lounge after dining out in any of the many restaurants in the area, then this is the one and only place to go," said Bill Mooney, 53, one of Habana Hut's three owners.
The cigar lounge and store is located just off Bell Blvd. at 214-09 41st Ave in Bayside, Queens, NYC.
All three owners - Bill Mooney; Dave Feller, also of Bayside, and Steve Capalanotto of Flushing - have been big-time cigar smokers for the past 10 to 15 years.

Indeed. There's the Churchill in the Brown Palace Hotel which is one of the world's best bars. There's also Celtic Tavern in LoDo that's good for a more casual night out.
A new place, called Oscar's, just opened up, but it's part of a strip club and, frankly, it's sort of eh. Overpriced and watery drinks.
